The Bureau of Indian Affairs has been granted an extension to acquire surplus U.S. Navy property for the Narragansett Tribe of Rhode Island and the Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe of Massachusetts.

The BIA has until August 10 to submit paperwork on behalf of the Wampanoag Tribe. Documents were already submitted on behalf of the Narragansett Tribe.
