Poarch Creeks to host Native softball tourney

The
Poarch Band of Creek Indians of Alabama hosts the annual Native American Softball Association tournament this weekend.
A total of 31 teams -- 18 mens and 13 womens -- are competing this year. The tournament starts on Friday morning and ends late Saturday.
"We are excited and honored to be hosting the tournament this year," Tim Ramer, the director of guest services for
PCI Gaming and a player-coach for one of the tribe's team, told The Atmore Advance. "It usually comes to Poarch every four years, so we always make it the best we can."
The tribe's two teams have winning records at the tournament.
