Trial postponed for beating of Blackfeet man

The trial for three brothers accused of beating a member of the
Blackfeet Nation of
Montana has been postponed due to the recent hospitalization of the lead prosecutor.
The trial was supposed to start yesterday but prosecutor Brant Light didn't get out of the hospital until Monday. A new date for the trial hasn't been set.
Todd, Brian and Aaron Molenda are charged with felonies for the September 20, 2008, beating of Ron Rides at the Door, a
Glacier County
commissioner. The Molendas allegedly yelled racial slurs at Rides at the Door and his wife but the men will not face hate crimes charges.
The brothers were initially charged with misdemeanors but public outcry led to felony charges. They were supposed to go to trial earlier this year but their case was moved out of Glacier County because potential jurors said they couldn't remain impartial.
