Trial scheduled for assault on Blackfeet man

Three brothers who are accused of beating a member of the
Blackfeet
Nation of Montana will go to trial on October 28.
Todd, Brian and Aaron Molenda are charged with felony assault. They allegedly attacked
Glacier County Commissioner Ron Rides at the Door when he tried to break up a fight in September 2008.
The brothers allegedly yelled racial slurs at Rides at the Door and his wife but the county attorney decline to file hate crime charges. The state, however, upgraded the original misdemeanor charges to felonies
The trial will take place in Lincoln County after potential jurors in Glacier County said they couldn't remain impartial.
