Hope fades for Native man missing over a year
Thursday, September 24, 2009

Friends and family are losing hope for Wilson Nokahoot, a man from the Whitebear First Nations who went missing in Regina, Saskatchewan, over a year ago.

Nokahoot, 44, was last seen in May 2008. There's been no evidence of foul play and the case has gone cold due to lack of information.

"Something happened to him. I don't know what, but I doubt if I will ever see him again," Blaine Nokahoot, Wilson's cousin, told CBC News.

Wilson Nokahoot attended the Gordon's Indian Residential School, considered to be one of the most brutal in the Indian boarding school system. He received compensation for his time there.
