A judge agreed to delay the trial of state
Sen. Albert
Kookesh (D) in a subsistence fishing case.
Kookesh and three others were cited for exceeding catch limits. Kookesh says the state has no jurisdiction over Native subsistence activities on federal land.
The trial was due to start yesterday but will be delayed until January 4, 2010.
