Navajo family opens traditional eatery in New Mexico

A family from the
Navajo Nation opened a restaurant based on traditional Navajo foods in Farmington, New Mexico.
Bernice and Dexter Begay, along with their son, Danaman Begay, own the Ashkii's Navajo Grill. Among other foods, they will serve fry bread, tortillas and roast mutton.
"Roast mutton will be our top seller," Danaman told The Farmington Daily Times. "We'll have fry bread and tortillas and the other stuff, but the roast mutton, we'll have a monopoly on that."
The family said they opened the restaurant due to the lack of Navajo food options in Farmington, a border town near the reservation.
