Alaska Native executive on leave amid sexual harassment case

Matthew Nicolai, the longtime chief executive officer of
Calista Corp., has been placed on administrative leave amid a claim of sexual harassment against him.
Nicolai, 57, reportedly began a relationship with Emily Davenport, 28, who serves as president of a Calista subsidiary. Davenport claims Nicolai started to harass her after she ended the relationship.
"Calista and Solstice have personnel policies that prohibit harassment in the workplace, and Calista's board and executive management wishes to reaffirm our commitment to providing a harassment-free workplace," the corporation said in a
statement.
Davenport works for
Solstice Advertising, the first Alaska Native-owned ad agency.
