Aquash murder suspect remains free on bail

A British Columbia Appeal Court Justice has ruled that a Native man accused of murdering American Indian Movement activist Anna Mae Pictou-Aquash can stay free on bail pending an extradition hearing to the United States.

John Graham is under house arrest. He is fighting extradition to federal court in South Dakota, which he said held a "sham" trial for Arlo Looking Cloud, who was found guilty by a jury for murdering Aquash on the Pine Ridge Reservation in January 1975.

Graham wants his trial to be held in Canada.
