Eastern Cherokees go bilingual with road signs

The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians of North Carolina is installing 400 road signs in both Cherokee and English.
The $45,000 project is part of the tribe's aggressive effort to pass on the Cherokee language. Tribal officials say only about 10 percent speak it fluently.
The first signs went up last month.
