Friday, May 21, 2004

An F-16 fighter jet from Singapore crashed on the Tohono O'odham Reservation in Arizona, killing the pilot.

A tribal member who witnessed the crash said the jet "came down like a falling star in a straight line." The crashed occurred near the village of Pisinimo.

The pilot, from Singapore, was training at the nearby Luke Air Force Base. All F-16s have been grounded since the accident on Wednesday night.
