Tribal chairman running in Calif. recall

David Laughing Horse Robinson, chairman of the Kawaiisu Tribe of California, is running in the state's October 7 recall.
Robinson, a Democrat, appears first on the ballot in California's first district because the state chose a new order for the 26 letters of the alphabet.
But he drops to the bottom in the 2nd district as the alphabet is shifted by one for each of the 80 districts.
Robinson says he's the first California Native American to run for state office.
He puts the financial integrity of the state and education as his top priorities.
The Kawaiisu Tribe was terminated by the federal government in 1958. Its status has yet to be restored.
