Bustamante manager works for tribes and unions

The campaign manager for California Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante is a lobbyist for tribes and labor unions, The Los Angeles Times reports.
Tribes and unions are often at odds over casino and sovereignty issues.
But Richie Ross, a political consultant, doesn't see his role as conflicted, and neither do his clients.
"Richie knows our position, and I assume he made that clear [to the unions] — 'Leave us alone,' " Nikki Symington, a spokeswoman for the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Mission Indians, told the paper.
"I don't ask questions about his other clients," said David Baron, director of governmental affairs for the Barona Band of Mission Indians.
