Viejas Tribe spending $2M to boost Bustamante

The Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians announced on Tuesday it will spend $2 million to boost the recall bid of California Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante (D).
The tribe said it will contribute $1.52 million to two Bustamante re-election committees.
An additional $479,800 will be spent on a grassroots campaign for the upcoming October 7
election.
The tribe has 289 members and operates a casino.
