Unique ceremonial club recovered from eBay seller
Friday, October 10, 2003

A ceremonial club stolen from a museum in Kansas has been recovered after it was offered for sale on the online auction site eBay.

The club went missing from the Kauffman Museum at Bethel College several years ago. Believed to have been made in 1870, it is a unique item because of the style of drawing used.

A gallery owner from New York was started bids for the club at $4,000. According to authorities, he didn't know it was stolen.
