Aquash murder suspect seeking release from jail
Tuesday, January 13, 2004

A Canadian man accused of murdering American Indian Movement activist Anna Mae Pictou-Aquash nearly 28 years ago is trying to get released from jail.

Lawyers in British Columbia say Graham, a Canadian Native, has met the conditions for bail. U.S. authorities are trying to extradite him to face charges for the murder.

Pictou-Aquash was found dead on the Pine Ridge Reservation in February 1976. Arlo Looking Cloud is awaiting trial in South Dakota.
