Janklow loses request for acquittal in traffic death
Wednesday, January 14, 2004

Sentencing for former Congressional Bill Janklow (R) will go ahead after a South Dakota judge refused to overturn his conviction of second-degree felony manslaughter.

A jury found Janklow guilty for hitting and killing motorcyclist Randy Scott. He faces up to 11 years in prison when he is sentenced January 20 but he is also asking for a new trial.
